Overview
ZyXEL Smart Switch Simplifies Robust Network Management
24-port GbE Smart Managed PoE Switch
Today’s small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) expect a higher level of performance from their networks—more connections to support diverse applications, fewer network disruptions, easier management and a greater degree of network security. ZyXEL GS1920-24HP of switches fulfills these expectations with support for 24 x GbE PoE RJ-45 ports, 4 x GbE combo (RJ-45/SFP) ports, as well as non-blocking performance and high-power budget support to facilitate a greater number of network connections.
ZyXEL GS1920-24HP offers network protection features and comprehensive access management functions to establish a reliable and secure network environment. Easy deployment, smart management and solid security—the GS1920 Series is the best solution for SMB networks.
Features
Versatility and flexibility for different needs
GS1920-24HP is a smart-managed switch with 24 gigabit ports and uplink to flexibly extend network deployment, especially for high-power devices such as Wi-Fi APs, IP cams and IP phones. ZyXEL GS1920-24HP gigabit smart switches take web-managed switches to the next level and combine fully managed features with the latest chipset technology.
Simple, intuitive wizard set up
For small businesses that want to manage their infrastructure in advance, GS1920-24HP comes with a friendly built-in Web-based browser for simple configuration and management. Moreover, the friendly step-by-step intuitive wizard helps avoiding multiple complicated configuration pages for quick set up with few clicks in the matter of minutes. To guide the users from start-up, VLAN, Guest VLAN to QoS setting, the ZyXEL Series offers four most common steps and combines them into a quick and easy setup wizard; which does not just save deployment time and efforts, but is also helpful especially for the non-IT staff.
Avoiding network errors with easy management
GS1920-24HP is equipped with advanced management features to make the network stable and secure: loop protection that prevents network flooding, dual images to provide a backup FW if one crashes and storm control to ensure network efficiency, friendly on/off DoS with simple click to enable/disable instead of several setup pages, while SSL ensures the management frames are well encrypted when the device is accessed. GS1920-24HP provides network error prevention features and integrated network security for reduced risk and improved data streaming.
Robust network availability
Network disruptions are a frequent source of headaches for small to medium-sized businesses. Whether outages are caused by internal errors or outside attack, ZyXEL GS1920-24HP protects users from network disruptions and ensures uninterrupted connectivity through several key features. Loop Guard helps networks avoid service disruptions caused by switching loops, and IP Source Guard (IPSG) shields your network from MAC spoof and ARP spoof attacks. Additionally, attacks such as BPDU, ARP and IGMP can target network facilities. However, CPU protection guarantees that a network continues to operate, even while under attack. Furthermore, dual firmware image and configuration features improve network reliability and availability. These are just some of the ways the GS1920 Series switches guarantee headache-free network connectivity for SMBs.
Rigorous access protection to secure the network
ZyXEL GS1920-24HP provides efficient allocation of network resources while ensuring comprehensive access protection, along with simple and secure network control. Not only does GS1920-24HP supports 802.1X authentication with RADIUS, but it can monitor, filter and police all traffic between clients within the same subnet, creating an even higher degree of security.
Advanced security and QoS
With the latest-generation chipset, GS1920-24HP provides a variety of security features: Virtual LAN (VLAN) can be configured based on port or MAC addresses. In addition, predefined guest, voice and private VLANs are available. In order to make the network even more secure, the data traffic of GS1920-24HP can be filtered. Based on Layer 3 and Layer 4 policies (ACL) as well as the support of multiple RADIUS and TACACS+ servers, the switches support secure authentication for larger networks. Ready for modern Triple Play networks, GS1920-24HP offers a wide range of QoS functions. Regardless of whether data, VoIP or even IPTV applications are used, policy-based class of service ensures a high-quality transmission quality. In addition, various Multicast options such as IGMP snooping v3, Fast-Leave and MVR guarantee a reliable network with real-time data traffic such as IPTV and/or IP surveillance.
IEEE 802.3az EEE and IPv6
Fanless GS1920-24HP reduces noise and saves energy without compromising performance. With EEE, specific methods are applied for energy saving with Ethernet devices, which also helps to save costs. All devices support IPV6 meaning they are well prepared for the future.
Advanced standard compliance with intelligent power function support
GS1920-24HP PoE switches support 802.3at PoE Plus standards, with a 375-watt high-power budget to meet the connectivity needs of additional powered devices like 802.11ac WLAN access points, VoIP phones and IP cameras. Not only does GS1920-24HP switch PoE models features full PoE ports, it also employs intelligent technology. While set to Consumption Mode, switches can automatically detect the power consumption status of each powered device and supply only the amount of power required. This intelligent power allocation function minimizes wasteful overpowering of devices, thereby helping businesses save money, while enabling the PoE switch to power more devices.
Deployment
Integrated with Zyxel wireless access points, GS1920-24HP, a smart managed PoE switch, introduces an affordable solution recommended for offices, hypermarkets, hotels, schools, and sales spots to manage workplaces properly and increase business efficiency.
